Meet EZ Factory
Our Passion: Power to the Operator
Our mission
Brighten the daily work experience of factory workers and improve their performance with easy digital tools.
Our vision
We believe in making operators the heroes in the factory: stimulating continuous improvement, driving positive change through process refinement, and digitalizing standards toward a paperless factory.
Power to the Operator
What does EZ Factory do?
EZ Factory is a Dutch SaaS company, founded in 2017 by Randy Appiah and Robert Bouwman. It develops the EZ-GO platform: a connected worker platform that enables continuous improvement for the shop floor that factories use to digitize checklists, tasks, audits, and work instructions. The platform is now used in more than twenty countries.
Twenty-one countries, five continents
EZ Factory is based in Eindhoven, and the EZ-GO platform is opened on factory floors across Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Africa. Wherever a shift starts, an operator picks up a tablet and works through the same checks.
Drag the globe to turn it. Hover a marker to see the country.

Years of experience on the floor, always the same bottlenecks
Randy and Robert worked with operators on the shop floor for years. Everywhere, the same problems came back:
Safety out of sight. Little visibility into safety, because paper records and audits are hard to monitor.
Quality issues and recalls. Quality issues, and sometimes even recalls, because core tasks are not carried out on time or not carried out correctly.
Paper eats the shift. Time and energy lost on filling in and following up paper checklists and audits.
Breakdowns from missed maintenance. Breakdowns because first-line maintenance is done poorly, for lack of overview.
Instructions nowhere to be found. Instructions that are outdated or impossible to find at the moment the operator needs them.
Ideas that go nowhere. Improvement ideas that go nowhere, because operators lack the means to improve continuously.
No ownership of the machine. Operators who do not feel ownership of their machine, because they have little influence.
From an Excel model and a cup of coffee to the EZ-GO platform
Randy worked in the factory and saw first-line maintenance fail time after time. He built a first model in Excel.
“A lot of work is still done on paper, but it can be different. That is why we talked with operators about what the platform should look like. Now they have everything in one place: they see what they need to do that day, how, and when.”
Robert worked as a continuous improvement consultant and saw every improvement disappear again as soon as he left, because no one followed the standard.
“We want to help the people in the factory make their work easier, more enjoyable, and more efficient.”
They discovered they had been carrying the same idea for years, and built the solution they were both missing. For the first version, they did not sit behind a desk; they talked with operators from different factories. Those operators told them what they needed, and that became the EZ-GO platform. What started with two founders has grown into a platform that multinationals and small and medium-sized companies use on the shop floor every day, in more than twenty countries.
The story is not finished
A continuous improvement platform that stands still itself would be a strange message. So we keep developing, just as our customers do on the floor. The input still comes from the same source as in 2017: operators, key users, and continuous improvement managers who tell us what they need in practice. We turn that into new functionality and improvements to the EZ-GO platform.
That means the shop floor largely decides what the next step is. This way the platform keeps growing along with the factories that use it.
The people behind the platform
We build the EZ-GO platform from our office in the Netherlands, in close contact with the operators, key users, and continuous improvement managers who work with it every day.
Built from the floor up, not from IT
We know the industry from the inside.
Designed from an IT mindset: made for the operator instead of together with the operator.
Developed with operators from well-known companies, and translated with a designer into a user-friendly app in which photo and video play the central role.
The result is clear: you log in and see at a glance what your core tasks are today around safety, quality, and efficiency.
See the platform and the solutionsTrusted on the shop floor
Multinationals, small and medium-sized companies work with the EZ-GO platform. Customers start with a pilot and then roll it out themselves across multiple lines and locations. We think along with them and help determine and achieve the success factors. The customer's interest always comes first.
Operators
Use it at the line every day.
Key users
Build the checklists and work instructions.
CI managers
Roll out improvements and follow up on them.
Managers
Follow the results.
